After completing my education, I spent three years as a research biochemist at a laboratory. A French speaker (who spoke English with a thick accent) kept talking about \u2018odeur\u2019. As I understand some French, I translated \u2018odeur\u2019 for \u2018bad smell\u2019 in English.\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>TBH<\/strong><\/p><p>You understand French, too? That\u2019s great. What happened then?<\/p><p><b>Martin Janda:<\/b><\/p><p>Here\u2019s the twist \u2013 the last slide of his presentation was titled \u2018Hot Air\u2019. As he didn\u2019t have much knowledge of medicine, he kept referring to a drug penicillin hydrochloride as \u2018hydrochloride\u2019. Now, \u2018hydrochloride\u2019 is a chemical salt while \u2018penicillin hydrochloride\u2019 is a medicine \u2013 as you see the context changes completely.<\/p><p><strong>TBH<\/strong><\/p><p>That is so true, Martin.
